3 Days Beijing and Xian Private Tour from Shanghai by Flight

Day 1 Shanghai--Xian

In the morning, your guide will pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer you to Shanghai airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arrival, your Xian guide will greet you at the exit of the airport with a welcome signage "Xian Private Tour". 

Your tour will start with Terracotta Warriors. Terracotta Warriors is known as “the eighth Wonders of the world”, it shows a surprisingly high level in sculpture which is listed as the most significant discovery of the 20th century. Up to now, there has discovered a total of 179 accompanying burial pits of different connotations and various shapes in Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum area. The discovery of these pits has provided all important significance in the research of the burial system of the Qinshihuang’s Mausoleum, the characteristics structures and characteristics of the burial pits. However. What makes people feel amazing is that of all the burial pits, none has been found survived from being burnt down.

After that, stroll down on Muslim Quarter, which is the most famous food street in Xian. It consists of Islamic food area, ethnic group shopping center, Great mosque and living area of Hui people. It is a place distinct for its delicious food and Islamic culture, with a history of more than 1000 years. The streets are paved by gray flagstone and the buildings are of Ming style. About 2000 years ago in the Han Dynasty after the opening of Silk Road, Changan welcomed the first Muslims: Muslim businessmen, envoys, and students.

Day 2 Xian-Beijing

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to Xi'an airport to catch your flight to Beijing. Upon arrival, your Beijing guide will wait you at Mutianyu Great Wall. Accompanied by your guide, admire Mutianyu's Ming Dynasty turreted watchtowers and walls that are fully intact, proving that it is one of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall. Enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding forest from this ancient section of wall, which is also older and less busy than other sections. 

After finished Mutianyu Great Wall, drive you to Beijing downtown, on the way, you'll have a chance to visit the famous Olympic Stadiums (Bird’s Nest & Water Cube), built for the 2008 Beijing Olympics from outside. 

In the evening, enjoy a traditional Peking roast duck dinner, the famous dish that’s been prepared in Beijing (formerly called Peking) since imperial times. Afterward, you'll be driven to your Beijing hotel, your guide will help you check-in.

Day 3 Beijing Departure

In the morning, visit Tiananmen Square. Enter the mysterious world of the Forbidden City, built for the emperors in the Ming Dynasty. The huge complex is home to the Palace Museum and nearly 1,000 buildings with 10,000 rooms, and is made up of a succession of courts, towers, gates and lakes. 

Next to Forbidden City. As you know, the Forbidden City is the largest imperial palace worldwide and contains thousands of buildings. A visit inside can be both eye-opening and challenging.

The last stop is Summer Palace, it is a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens and palaces in Beijing, China. It serves as a popular tourist destination and recreational park. Mainly dominated by Longevity Hill and Kunming Lake, it covers an expanse of 2.9 square kilometres (1.1 sq mi), three-quarters of which is water.  After 1949, the Summer Palace briefly housed the Central Party School of the Communist Party of China. Many of Mao Zedong's friends and key figures in the Communist Party, such as Liu Yazi and Jiang Qing, also lived there. Since 1953, many major restoration and renovation works have been done on the Summer Palace, which is now open to the public as a tourist attraction and park.
