Day 1. Arrival in Shanghai

Our Shanghai private tour guide will meet you at the exit of Shanghai international airport holding with a welcome signal "China Private Tour" and escort you to your hotel. 

The rest day is free on your own to explore Shanghai city.

Day 2. Shanghai

Firstly, you will visit Shanghai Museum, which is a museum of ancient Chinese art, situated on the People's Square in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China. The museum was founded in 1952 and was first open to the public in the former Shanghai Racecourse club house, now at 325 West Nanjing Road, it was rebuilt at its current location in 1996, it is considered one of China's first world-class modern museums. The museum has a collection of over 120,000 pieces, including bronze, ceramics, calligraphy, furniture, jades, ancient coins, paintings, seals, sculptures, minority art and foreign art.

Then proceed to visit the "Pedestrians only" Nanjing Road, a walking bustling street that is always packed with people waching other people. When people mention Shanghai's Nanjing Road, they're probably talking about East Nanjing Road, a pedestrian shopping street running for blocks between the northeast corner of People's Square and the Bund. Nanjing Road, 5.5 km in full length, enjoys the reputation as China No. 1 commercial center. It was the earliest commercial street in Shanghai since the city opened to the outside world.

After that move on to The Bund, the Bund is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The area is in the eastern part of Huangpu District centers on a section of Zhongshan Road ,which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River, facing the high, modern skyscrapers of Pudong,Traditionally, the Bund begins at Yan'an Road in the south and ends at Waibaidu Bridge in the north, The Shanghai Bund on which you can embrace the best cityscape, feast on the rich architectural fashions ( Gothic, Baroque, Rome, Renaissance, Classic and Mixed Eastern and Western style, etc.) 

You will have lunch at local restaurant, where you can enjoy some authentic Shanghai food.

After lunch, drive you to the Lujiazui and visit the famous Jinmao Tower to have an eye-bird's view of Shanghai city. Jin Mao Tower is located in the center of Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone in Pudong.The 88-stories Jin Mao Tower was completed in 1999. It is 420.5 meters (almost 1,380 feet) tall and covers an area of 2.3 hectares (5.68 acres). The architect, Adrian D. Smith, of this skyscraper ingeniously combined the elements of traditional Chinese culture with the newest architectural styles of the time, which makes it one of the best-constructed buildings in China.

Finally, you will Take a Boat Cruise Along the Huangpu River, which is the mother river of Shanghai.When you come to Shanghai, do not miss this cruise.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Day 3. Shanghai-Huangshan

After breakfast, our guide will meet you at your hotel lobby. You will visit Yu Yuan Garden. The largest Shanghai ancient garden with Ming and Qing architectural styles decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rockeries. The garden was finished in 1577 by a government officer of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) named Pan Yunduan. Yu in Chinese means pleasing and satisfying, and this garden was specially built for Pan's parents as a place for them to enjoy a tranquil and happy time in their old age.

Then drive you to Zhujiajiao Water Town. Drive around 1 hours to visit the Zhujiajiao Water Town. Upon arrival, the first tourism spot is Fangsheng Bridge, it is the longest, largest and tallest stone bridge, with five openings both in Zhujiajiao and in the Shanghai region. This bridge was built in 1571. On the bridge stands a stone tablet named Dragon Gate Stone, which is engraved with 8 coiling dragons encircling a shining pearl. On top of the bridge are 4 lifelike stone lions.

Next, you will visit Kezhi Garden, Kezhi Garden is traditional private garden in Zhujiajiao which was finished in 1911, it is famous for rocks, zigzagging bridges, lotus pool and farm land.

Move on to the Zhujiajiao's Chenghuang Temple, there are thousands of City God Temples in China. But the City God Temple in Zhujiajiao water town is a prime place of worship for Taoists with archaie and elegant architecture. The features of this temple are the stage. Abacus. Gingko tree.

At last, visit the whole water town from the most interesting perspective, if you want to relax yourself and learn some exquisite water town culture, boat cruise on it well be the best way.(Boat cruise on the water way is not included)

After water town tour, you will be taken to Shanghai train station for the trian to Huangshan city. The highspeed trian will takes around 4 hours. When you reach at station, our driver will pick you up and drive to your hotel in Huangshan. Overnight Huangshan City.

Day 4. Huangshan

Get up early around 6:00 AM and after breakfast at your hotel, check out and deposit your suitcases in the hotel. You can collect it on your way back. Take your valuables, passport and a small bag or backpack for your overnight stay on the mountain. Later, drive along Huangshan Expressway to Huangshan Mountain (1.5 hour-drive), Then change for the local green bus and continue to drive for about 15 minutes along the zigzag mountain road before you get to the bus station at Yungu where you will take the cable car from Yungu Station to the top of the mountain. 

Upon arrival, you will first climbing the Shixin Peak to watch famous Mount Huangshan pines like the Black Tiger Pine, the Couple Pine, the Dragon Claw Pine and the Overlooking the Sea of Clouds Pine. You will also be able to view several oddly-shaped rocks like the Flower Growing out of A Writing Brush and Monkey Watching Sea of Clouds. 

Move on to the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, 1668 meters above the sea level, is the fifteenth of the thirty-six minor peaks of Mount Huangshan. Its fancy name comes from this story. Many years ago someone wandered to this place on his way back from the Cloud Valley Temple and was immediately stunned by its unworldly landscape. He then improvised a couplet: "Inexplicable, unbelievable; admirable, no idea until arrival" The peak has many bizarre-shaped pines. As a saying goes, "One wont see the best of the Mount Huangshan pines until they come to the Begin-to-Believe Peak".

Enjoy lunch on top of the mountain. (at your own expense)

After lunch Visit Xihai Grand Canyon, it is a newly-developed scenic area open to public on May, 2001. Covering the most prime scenery of Xihai Scenic Area (Western part of Huangshan Scenic Area), it starts at Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, linking White Cloud Area at Fairy-walking Bridge, and creating a breath-taking circular sightseeing route. Within its 25 square kilometers, there are many unique rock formations, such as Upside-down Boot, Lady Playing Piano, Dog Watching Sky, Man Walking on Stilt, and fantastic peaks; Archway Peak, Nine-dragon Peak, Double Bamboo Shoot Peak, Stone-bed Peak, Stone-pillar Peak and Pine Forest Peak, just to name a few. Lush pines abound in the area and the large historic ones have names.

In the evening you will enjoy the sunset from the Cloud Dispelling Pavilion. Stay overnight at the summit.

Day 5. Huangshan-Shanghai

If weather permits, get up early (around 5am- 6am) to enjoy the magnificent sunrise view. The best place for watching sunrise is from Refreshing Terrance, it is also closest spot from your hotel. In good-weather days, you can see clearly the golden light of the sun piercing the mists, and rocky peaks rising above the frothy, ever-changing sea of white clouds. After the sunrise, get back to your hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast visit: The Lion Peak, A monkey gaping at the sea, The flower grown out of a writing brush rock, etc.

After lunch start to descend the mountain by foot or you can take Yungu cable car at your own expense: CNY 80/pp

In the afternoon, you are transferred to the Tunxi Old Street, at the foot of Mt. Huangshan, at the bend of Xin'an River, lies the beautiful mountain town called "Tunxi ". which is dubbed as the flowing Qingming Scroll (also Along the River during the Qingming Festival), one of the tops ten Chinese traditional paintings. Similar to the Qingming Scroll which presents the lively local life, here in Tunxi Ancient Street, colorful bazaars of local features are displayed in front of your eyes. It is also listed as one of China's Top Ten Historical and Cultural Streets.

When finished your Huangshan tour, you are taken to Huangshan railway station and take train for Shanghai.

Day 6. Shanghai Departure

Free on your own in the morning, then you will be transferred to the airport and you can fly back home. Have a pleasant trip!
