First, take you to the Yuyuan Garden, The largest one of Shanghai ancient gardens with Ming and Qing architectural styles decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rockeries. Yuyuan Garden is the only fully restored classical Chinese garden in Shanghai. Demonstrates perfectly the sophisticated art of combining several different elements to create a world in miniature - ingeniously mingling pavilions and corridors, small hills and carefully selected and well-placed rocks, lotus ponds, bridges, winding paths, and trees and shrubs.

Next, pay a visit to the Jade Buddha Temple: The Jade Buddha Temple, also known as the Shanghai Yufo Temple, is one of the most important Buddhist temples in Shanghai, China. The Jade Buddha Temple was founded in 1882 by Abbot Hui Gen during the reign of Emperor Guang Xu (1875-1908) of the Qing Dynasty and burned down after having been occupied during the 1911 revolution. The temple takes its name from the original two white jade Buddha statues that abbot Hui Gen brought with him from Burma—a sitting statue about 1.95 m (almost 6 1/2 ft) in height and a smaller reclining Buddha.

Your final stop is Old French Concession, listen as your guide sets the historical scene and directs your attention to cobbled streets and wrought-iron railings reminiscent of 19th-century Paris. Hear of the radical cultural transformation that occurred at the site of the First Conference of the Communist Party and absorb the botanical beauty of a French-style park during your stroll.

Let me start off by saying Shanghai Private Tour is AMAZING ! my husband , and I shopped around for a 14 hour layover tour in Shanghai, other tour companies were not as helpful nor did they respond to my emails on time. Shanghai Private Tour meet all our expectations from the moment we landed in Shanghai. My tour guide was Bonnie .very knowable, Sweet young lady . Once we landed mind you still on the plane we recieved a call from celine letting us know she was aware we landed ,and waiting for us with a sign . Bonnie took us to all the places we wished to visit , and some great restaurants with amazing dumplings . She made us comfortable from the very beginning. If your planning a trip to Shanghai dont hesitate to book with Shanghai Private tour. You won't regret it.

My two friends and I had an incredible experience in Shanghai for our Layover. Bonnie has excellent communication for helping me set up the tour. It was very nice and comfortable talking and listening to our guide Alex as he has that easy get along type of personality. And he is also a very caring person taking care of our need during the trip. He was so knowledgeable about the history of Shanghai and their country, he offered us valuable information in a timely, professional manner. He took us to some fantastic locations for an authentic tour of Shanghai. The car was in perfect state, and our driver was perfectly courteous and professional and, in spite of a charged traffic, everywhere skillfully drove us in secure conditions. Shanghai Private Tour did a great job of keeping us informed! Thanks so much for a very memorable time! This trip to Shanghai will always be one of my favorite journeys!

I had such a great experience with this tour company. My guide Tommy was very knowledgeable and responsive to what I wanted to see (I specifically asked for an opportunity to jewelry shop!). It was a great day and they got me back in plenty of time to make my flight. They also gave very specific instructions that made customs a breeze.
Highly recommend!
