Day 1 Shanghai-Huangshan

Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai (based on your requirement) then drive you to the Shanghai Hongqiao station, you will take the high-speed train from shanghai to huangshan. Upon arrival, your local personal guide will happy to greet you at the exit of Huangshan Train Station holding with a welcome sign "Shanghai Private Tour". What you need to do is sitting back and relaxing in the car.

Firstly, drive you to explore the Tunxi Old Street. It is well located in the center of Tunxi District of Huangshan City. With about 630 years’ history, Tunxi Ancient Street is the best preserved old street in China in the style of the Southern Song Dynasty (A.D. 960 - 1127), Ming (A.D. 1368 - 1644) and Qing (A.D. 1644 - 1911) Dynasties.

Your lunch will be arranged at the local restaurant popular with the local people to stay away from the tourists' meals.

In the late afternoon, the guide will help you check in the Ramada Huangshan Hotel, and enjoy the Ravishing Hotspring in Xinhui world hot spring resort.

Day 2 Huangshan Departure

After breakfast, visit Hongcun Village. Hongcun is the China you think of when you think of ancient China. Imagine an old man stroking his wispy grey beard while smoking a long thin pipe and this is where he probably lives. Hongcun’s narrow cobblestone paved lanes winding around boxy whitewashed buildings with pointed black tiled roofs offer a pleasant place to spend a few unhurried days in a beautiful part of rural China. Several larger residences reflect the wealth of its one time resident in the ornate carvings on every beam and column. Many of the buildings date back to the Ming and Qing dynasties and are regarded as the best examples of typical Anhui-style architecture.

Moon Pond
The crescent-like pond surrounded by several grand dwellings, reflection of the building in the water, like a painting. Therefor the Hongcun Village also known as "Chinese Village in Picture" 

Sounth of lake
The village is peculiarly arranged in the shape of an ox: Leigang Hill is the head, and two towering old trees standing make the horns of the ox. Four bridges across the stream are the legs, while the houses of the village form the body. Inside this "body", the winding stream from the dam represents the intestines, Moon Pond is the stomach, and South Lake (Nanhu) is the belly.

After lunch and a short rest drive to the nearby destination Xidi Village, It is a site of typical Hui residences, and one of the “Ancient Villages in Southern Anhui” that have been collectively listed as a World Cultural Heritage Site by UNESCO. With a history of over 950 years, the village came into being in the Huangyou Period (1049-1054) of the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127) and had its salad days in the early part of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911).

Upon arrival, you can see its well-spaced houses with white walls, elegant decorations and black tiles are surrounded by mountains, which makes Xidi an ideal place for paint from life. It's said that, Xidi is a magnificent villager of imperial officers. It contributed about 130 government officials, some of whom were dignitaries in the imperial courts, during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Currently, there are still 124 well-preserved ancient dwelling with unique style in the village.
