Day 1 Shanghai-Huangshan

Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai (based on your requirement) and drive you to the Shanghai Hongqiao station, you will take the high-speed train from shanghai to huangshan. Upon arrival, your local personal guide will happy to greet you at the exit of Huangshan Train Station holding with the welcome signal "Shanghai Private Tour".

Day 2 Mt.Huangshan

After breakfast, drive you to Mt. Huangshan Senic Area. Upon arrival, accompaned by your guide, you will first climb the Shixin Peak to watch famous Mount Huangshan pines like the Black Tiger Pine, the Couple Pine, the Dragon Claw Pine and the Overlooking the Sea of Clouds Pine. You will also be able to view several oddly-shaped rocks like the Flower Growing out of A Writing Brush and Monkey Watching Sea of Clouds. 

Move on to the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, 1668 meters above the sea level, is the fifteenth of the thirty-six minor peaks of Mount Huangshan. Its fancy name comes from this story. Many years ago someone wandered to this place on his way back from the Cloud Valley Temple and was immediately stunned by its unworldly landscape. He then improvised a couplet: "Inexplicable, unbelievable; admirable, no idea until arrival" The peak has many bizarre-shaped pines. As a saying goes, "One wont see the best of the Mount Huangshan pines until they come to the Begin-to-Believe Peak".

After lunch Visit Xihai Grand Canyon, it is a newly-developed scenic area open to public on May, 2001. Covering the most prime scenery of Xihai Scenic Area (Western part of Huangshan Scenic Area), it starts at Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, linking White Cloud Area at Fairy-walking Bridge, and creating a breath-taking circular sightseeing route. Within its 25 square kilometers, there are many unique rock formations, such as Upside-down Boot, Lady Playing Piano, Dog Watching Sky, Man Walking on Stilt, and fantastic peaks; Archway Peak, Nine-dragon Peak, Double Bamboo Shoot Peak, Stone-bed Peak, Stone-pillar Peak and Pine Forest Peak, just to name a few. Lush pines abound in the area and the large historic ones have names.

After the sightseeing, take cable car down, drive you to your hotel.

Day 3 Tunxi Hongcun Village

After breakfast, drive you to the Hongcun Village, Hongcun is a wonderful place to visit, originated during Song Dynasty (960-1276), is praised as the most beautiful village in China. It is famous as the ancient village in the Chinese painting. Quite different from other traditional ancient villages in China, the layout, landscape, architectural form, decoration, and construction techniques all retain the original features Hongcun.

Moon Pond
the crescent-like pond surrounded by several grand dwellings, reflection of the building in the water, like a painting. Therefor the Hongcun Village also known as "Chinese Village in Picture" 

Sounth of lake
The village is peculiarly arranged in the shape of an ox: Leigang Hill is the head, and two towering old trees standing make the horns of the ox. Four bridges across the stream are the legs, while the houses of the village form the body. Inside this "body", the winding stream from the dam represents the intestines, Moon Pond is the stomach, and South Lake (Nanhu) is the belly.

Your lunch will be arranged at the local restaurant popular with the local people to stay away from the tourists' meals.

After the sightseeing, takes you to rent a bike, you can do a biking tour (about 1-2 hours) near Hongcun Village to explore this scenic countryside. 

At last, take you back to your hotel.

Day 4 Huangshan Departure

After breakfast, drive you to Yixian County. You will first visit the Nanping Village. Nanping Village has almost a thousand-year history. It owns large-scale Hui-style ancient houses from the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties and also has some Sino-foreign architecture as well. In the village, there is a stretch of ancient woods called Wansonglin. Its numerous lanes and wells, numbering 72 and 36, respectively, are another unique part of the village. Entering into the village, you will surely be full of praise for the traditional houses and old-fashioned decorations, such as the stone-carved windows and wood-carved beams and columns.

Afterwards, continue to visit the nearby destination Xidi Village, Xidi Village is only about 10km from Hongcun and located 40km (25 miles) away from Huangshan Mountain.

Xidi Village was listed along with Hongcun Village as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO in the year 2000. These two ancient villages are the most representative local-style residences in southern Anhui Province. Xidi was first built during the Song Dynasty (960-1279 AD) and was originally called Xichuan (West River), because of the water courses flowing west through the village. With a history of over 900 years, Xidi Village is peaceful with a hidden charm to be discovered like in a fairy tale.

Upon arrival, you can see its well-spaced houses with white walls, elegant decorations and black tiles are surrounded by mountains, which makes Xidi an ideal place for paint from life. It's said that, Xidi is a magnificent villager of imperial officers. It contributed about 130 government officials, some of whom were dignitaries in the imperial courts, during Ming and Qing Dynasties. Currently, there are still 124 well-preserved ancient dwelling with unique style in the village.

The ancient stone archway at the entrance of Xidi Village is more than 400 years old and still in good condition. It is regarded as a masterpiece of Ming Dynasty's archways.

Old Trees and alley

Drive you back to Huangshan train station and you return to Shanghai. When you arrive, you will be escorted to your hotel in Shanghai (based on your requirement) accordingly.
