Taipei-Shanghai forum seeks closer ties
The 2018 Taipei-Shanghai Forum will be held in Taipei in the middle of next month, the Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office announced Tuesday.
Shanghai will display 37 examples of intangible cultural heritages and 69 time-honored brands at the intangible cultural heritage exhibition at the second China International Import Expo which opens on Tuesday. The exhibition area for both has three sections — "Shikumen," "Jiangnan Residence" (regions south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River), and "Shanghai Times." Twenty intangible cultural heritage performances will be staged by 18 troupes.
Huangpu River cruises prepare to set sail again
Shanghai's Huangpu River cruise tour will resume operation from Sunday with passenger numbers kept under half of capacity, the cruise operator announced on Thursday.
More Shanghai tourist attractions ready to reopen
Tourist attractions in Shanghai, including the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Tower and Jin Mao Tower, will reopen on Thursday, bringing the total number of reopened scenic spots in the city to 22.

There will be four tours each day between March 15 and 22, with ships departing from the No. 1 cruise pier at Shiliupu from 5:30pm at one-hour intervals, the Shanghai Huangpu River Cruise Co announced. Each trip lasts 50 minutes.

Shanghai's hop-on and hop-off sightseeing buses resumed operation on Sunday with strict epidemic prevention measures.

Ships larger than 87,000 tons will not get to the Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal, due to the low bridge on Huangpu River, and will have to berth at the scenic and relaxing terminal in Waigaoqiao or Wusongkou terminal. Waigaoqiao can handle four cruise ships at the same time.

Shanghai Port International Cruise Terminal is located at the north Bund area in Hongkou District near downtown, with a water front of 880m, covering 41 hectares. It can accommodate three luxurious passenger liners at the time, all of which are 77,162 short tons. There are cruise lines from Shanghai to Japan and South Korea every day.
