I can’t speak highly enough of the private full-day tour of Shanghai we took with Shanghai Private Tour. Our guide, Bonnie, spoke amazing English and fully accommodated every special request we made for the day. Bonnie was super knowledgeable about Shanghai and Chinese history. We never felt rushed, and our tour ended up going for around 10 hours, ending with a night view of the city from the top of Shanghai Tower. This company treats you very well, including things like VIP seats for the boat tour and extra dumplings if you want them for lunch! And dont miss the Tea Ceremony in the Confucius Temple, even if you’re not a tea fan. At first, I almost did not take this Shangai day tour due to the price, but the price was well worth the experience. Our guide, David, was fantastic. He is very knowledgeable, spoke exceptional English, and was very personable. We had a wonderful experience with him, and accomplished much more than we would have on our own.
If you are concerned about price and value, don't let the price stop you. The value is there.

Booked a tour with Shanghai Private Tour for a personalized two days in Shanghai and from day one to the day of the tour were completely worry free! Enjoyed our private day tour in Shanghai with David. We were picked up and dropped off promptly at our hotel in Shanghai downtown. Our tour guide David was very well informed, accommodating and flexible. He even brought fish food for my kids to feed the fish at the Yuyuan garden. The tour was great for first timer in Shanghai. Our tour guide, Mr. David was doing a great job. He is knowledgeable, professional and friendly, with a great sense of humour. He understood our preferences and tailored the tour accordingly. The view from SWFC was really breathtaking. Yu Garden was great but avoid high seasons period otherwise will be even more crowd and the place is not really huge to cater too many people. I have visited Shanghai before but only this time taking the tour and it was great. We would recommend David to any friends visiting Shanghai.

We booked this tour one month ahead and we had the priviledge to have David as a guide when we visited Shanghai for three days. He was the most competent guide I have ever had and he was extremely good company at the same time sharing many interesting stories with our children. This was our very 1st trip to Shanghai and beyond our expectations. Our tour guide Jack was lovely, easy to talk to and very informative. We were driven around to places we we would never have found on our own.The French concession was charming as was the Jade Buddha temple. The food markets and alleyways we walked through was amazing. Our lunch at a restaurant was delicious. There are too many things to name but so glad we booked this day tour with Shanghai Private Tour, thank you again Jack . Hopefully we may get back to Shanghai for a return visit.
