It’s often enjoyed with rice or steamed buns, making it a hearty meal that locals cherish. Lisa guided me and two of my friends on a tour of Zhujiajiao Water Town during the epidemic (Shanghai is under contol and open for tourism), with a couple of additional stop in the French Concession area on our way back to the hotel. Lisa is simply an amazing tour guide. She is incredibly knowledgeable of Chinese history, and we learned so much - particularly about Shanghai - during the course of our trip to and from Zhujiajiao. Her English is perfect, which is a huge bonus for those of us who don't speak a word of Mandarin. She provided us with one of our very best travel experiences, and I can't recommend Lisa highly enough. Thanks for Sam's China Private Tours in Shanghai taking care of us during the tour during the epidemic.

Highly recommend visiting Zhujiajiao if you want to see how the Chinese people lived in the past. My friend and I had a wonderful time on our trip to Zhujiajiao From Shanghai. We thought your service was the perfect way to get an introduction to this beautiful water town. It was nice to leave all the details to the trip and to be able to relax and enjoy the trip. We thought the journey was an excellent value.

Our guide, Tom, was polite, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Tom was able to provide the background on everything we were seeing - e.g., the fung shui elements in the gardens, the traditional tea service for business meetings, how the Chinese postal system worked in its early years, etc. His knowledge really helped enrich our visit.

The door-to-door service was so convenient and Tom was prepared with all the admittance tickets that we needed to enter Zhujiajiao, visit the gardens, go on a boat ride, etc. He also recommended good spots to grab a bite (and places to avoid). It would have taken us much more time to arrange everything ourselves.

We have already recommended your tour to several of our friends. Our compliments on a well-run service!

Most tours have pick up in downtown Shanghai. For a nominal extra, we were picked up at the Cruise Terminal which is 17 miles out of town. Autumn, our guide, met us at the ship terminal and provided a wonderful excursion for us. Her English was very good and he was knowledgeable and enthused as she explained local customs and information about the sites we visited. She took us to a local eatery for lunch and the food was excellent. This tour can be highly recommended.

Autumn and her driver made sure that we were able to visit every place we wanted and also included a change in the original plan at our request. We were dropped off and picked up at each destination so it made everything so easy. Autumn was charming and gave so much information throughout the entire tour. Tickets were included in the tour which enabled us to avoid queues and also we were taken for lunch with Autumn where we had the best traditional meal of our entire trip. We would definitely recommend this tour, Autumn and her driver were organised and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. We felt we fulfilled many sights that we would not have been able to achieve without them! Well worth the money!

Very perfect organization on our tour! We had an amazing time in Zhujiajiao with our guide, Autumn. She was very informative and punctual. She asked a lot of questions about what we liked about tailored the tour to us. We included lunch when we purchased and lunch was delicious with local dishes that Autumn ordered for us. The boat ride was neat and such a great city to walk around. Weather was rainy, which was probably also a deterrent. Overall an amazing trip.

Zhoujiajiao is a must see in Shanghai! The atmosphere is peaceful compared to the big city and the local food is delicious! The shopping is great and the prices are lower than you will find in the downtown.
