Day 1 UK-Beijing

Make your own flight from UK to Beijing. Note: we can arrange the International air-tickets as well. (The duration of direct UK to Beijing flights is about 14 hours. Our Beijing local guide and driver will meet you at the Beijing airport once you arrivel, transfer to your Beijing hotel. The rest day is free on your own to explore the city.

Day 2 Beijing

After breakfast, you will visit Forbidden City. Also known as the Palace Museum, this famed attraction is situated in the heart of Beijing. Dating back to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the former imperial palace was the primary residence of the 24 emperors who reigned over the country during specific time periods in history.

Next, you will visit Jingshan Park, it is a beautiful loyal garden and facing the Forbidden City. And it is the highest poit of Beijing city where you can get a full and clear view of the Forbidden City.

 

In the afternoon, our guide will take you to visit the Temple of Heaven, is one of China’s best tourism sites for anyone interested in ancient Chinese religious culture. It was where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties (from 1420 to 1900) worshiped the god of heaven and prayed for good harvests. It has been described as "a masterpiece of architecture and landscape design". Temple of Heaven.

After the tour, drive you back to your hotel.

Day 3 Beijing

After breakfast, drive you to visit Mutianyu Great Wall. The Great Wall at Mutianyu is not as crowded as the nearby Badaling or Juyongguan sections of the Wall. Mutianyu’s 2.5 kilometer stretch of the Wall allows you to walk for more than an hour as you explore 22 watchtowers and the valley on both sides of the Wall. In late afternoon, or in poor weather, you often might find yourself alone with only the sound of the wind to keep you company. Travel back in time and see the Wall as it was when it was built hundreds of years ago.

In the afternoon, drive you back to Beijing city to visit Summer Palace. A marvel of Chinese garden design and one of Beijing's must-see attractions, the Summer Palace was the royal retreat for emperors fleeing the suffocating summer torpor of the old imperial city and, most recently, it was the retirement playground of Empress Dowager Cixi.

After the tour, drive you back to your hotel.

Day 4 Beijing-Xian

Check out from your hotel and you will be taken to Beijing train station to catch your train to Xian, it takes around 5 hours from Beijing to Xian by high speed train. You will be picked up from Xian train station once you arrive. Transfer to Xian hotel, the rest day is free on your own to explore Xian city.

Day 5 Xian

After breakfast, our guide will take you to visit Terracotta Warriors. Chinese workers digging a well in 1974 made a startling discovery: thousands of life-size terracotta figures of an army prepared for battle. Now called the Terracotta Army or Terracotta Warriors, the figures are located in three pits near the city of Xi'an in China's Shaanxi province.

In the afternoon, you will visit famous Big Goose Pagoda. It's one of famous ancient pagodas in China built for more than 1,300 years. It is the bright pearl on the Silk Road with excellent architectural beauty, precious Buddhist relics, rich religious culture, stories of the famous ancient monk-Xuan Zang, etc.

You will enjoy a show named "The Tang Dynasty Show", also known as " Music & Dance Dinner Show in Xian " is the pride of the city. Hosted at the "Tang Dynasty Palace", which is a leading entertainment theatre & dinner restaurant in China. This legendary venue offers visitors a unique opportunity to indulge themselves in exotic Chinese entertainment...

After the show, drive you back to your hotel.

Day 6 Xian-Chengdu

After breakfast, you will visit Xian Ancient City Wall. It is the most complete city wall that has survived China’s long history. It was built originally to protect the city in the old Tang dynasty and has now been completely restored.

Then, continue your Xian tour to Muslim Quarter. The main street through the Muslim Quarter is all about the food -- food that is both exotic and different than the typical fare in China. The streets in the area are clean and colorful with the whole area being very inviting for people to just walk down "main street" to see. It is said there are over 300 Muslim local snacks on the streets in Xian Muslim Quarter that attract a consistent flow of visitors everyday coming here to savor or just have a glimpse.

After your Xian tour ends, drop off at Xian railway station to catch your train to Chengdu. You will be picked up from Chengdu railway station once you arrive, transfer to your Chengdu hotel.

Day 7 Chengdu

Firstly, you will visit the Thatched Cottage of Dufu. Du Fu's Thatched Cottage is a park of his former residence and is arguably the most beautiful green space in Chengdu. The cottage is a simple ancient architecture and elegant beautiful gardening, with rich, precious collections, ingenious and wonderful signboards and great stone inscriptions.

Continue your tour to Wuhou Shrine. The Wuhou Shrine is a memorial to Zhuge Liang (181-234), a general and prime minister of the Three Kingdoms period who was renowned and respected as much for his wisdom and loyalty as he was for his military brilliance.

Then, you will visit the main attractions in the Wangjiang Pavilion Park includes the Well of Xue tao, Zhuojin Pavilion, Pavilion for reciting poems, Pavilion for washing bamboo slips and Pavilion of the five immortals in the sky, etc. The Wangjiang Pavilion is of a height of 39 meters and is also called Chongli Pavilion, which was built to memorize the great poetess - Xue tao. 

In the evening, you can choose to appreciate the Sichuan Opera Show for an optional activity. Sichuan Opera performances are always full of wit, humor, lively dialogues, and pronounced local flavors. To portray special characters, the opera incorporates a series of stunts, including the famous "face-changing." In Chinese opera, facial makeup is usually painted, but in Sichuan Opera, the performer can change his or her facial makeup in the snap of a finger right on stage.

After the show, drive back to your hotel.

Day 8 Chengdu-Beijing-UK

You will start your one day tour with a visit to the famous Chengdu Panda Base, where you may have chance to see cute pandas. A number of pandas live there in large naturalistic habitats, helping visitors to understand how these animals live in the wild.

Continue your tour to Sanxingdui Museum, which is recognized as one of world's most important ancient remains. Integrating collection, preservation, academic research and social education all in one, the museum showcases kinds of precious cultural relics unearthed at Sanxingdui Site.

In the late afternoon, you will be taken to Chengdu Shuangliu Airport to catch your flight to Beijing, and take an international flight return to UK from Beijing. Your China tour from UK comes to the ends!
