Drive around 1hours to visit the Zhouzhuang Water Town. Explore one of China's most cherished water towns on this exciting day tour. Zhouzhuang Water Town is a hub of cultural history and well-preserved ancient architecture. It has been called the "Venice of the East". Visit the Twin Bridges and the old drama stage of Zhouzhuang, wander around Zhang House and Shen House and take in the beautiful surroundings at Fuan Bridge.

Upon arrival, the first tourism spot is Zhouzhuang's Twin Bridges which were built during the late Ming dynasty (1368-1644) and are considered to be the symbol of Zhouzhuang. "Memory of Hometown", which depicted the Twin Bridges, was one of the items on display and has gained the world's attention for Zhouzhuang. The painting was chosen to be the first-day cover of the United Nations' postage stamp in 1985. The bridges are said to resemble an ancient Chinese key, thus locals also refer to it as "Key Bridge".

After lunch, you will move on to the Zhang House and Shen House, two examples of Zhouzhuang's distinctive historical architecture.

Built in 1742 and located at the southeast side of Fuan Bridge, Shen House was the private property of the descendant of Shen Wansan, the first millionaire of Jiangnan (South of Yangtze River) in the early Ming Dynasty. The whole architectural complex is of the Qing's style and occupies an area of more than 2,000 square meters (half an acre).

Zhang house is a stunning estate comprised of 70 rooms and six courtyards. It takes up about 1,800 square meters (less than half an acre).The residence dates back to the Ming dynasty. With Ruojing River flowing through, Zhang House is a dapper and graceful residential house; has a tranquil courtyard and pond. Deep halls all represent the life of the quondam owner.

The last stop is Silk factory, silk is one of the best materials for clothing that has hardly any match in the world, reputed to be the queen of fabrics Chinese silk is light, lustrous and durable. In the museum you can have a close experience of the process of silk.

Drive back to the Shanghai downtown in the afternoon. Then pay a visit to The Bund, The Bund is a waterfront area in central Shanghai. The area is in the eastern part of Huangpu District centers on a section of Zhongshan Road ,which runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River, facing the high, modern skyscrapers of Pudong,Traditionally, the Bund begins at Yan'an Road in the south and ends at Waibaidu Bridge in the north, The Shanghai Bund on which you can embrace the best cityscape, feast on the rich architectural fashions ( Gothic, Baroque, Rome, Renaissance, Classic and Mixed Eastern and Western style, etc.) and know why Shanghai is glorified as "Paris of the East". There are a number of attractions in the area, such as Shanghai World Financial Center, The Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Century Park, Century Boulevard, Jinmao Tower etc. It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Shanghai.

Keep going to visit the Xintiandi, Xintiandi is an affluent shopping, eating and entertainment district of Shanghai ,China. It is an historical and cultural character of the city tourist attractions, composed of an area of reconstituted traditional Shikumen("stone gate") houses on narrow alleys, some adjoining houses which now serve as book stores, cafes and restaurants, and shopping malls. Xin Tian Di is unique because of its concept of construction. It retains the antique walls, tiles and exterior of the Shikumen housing of old Shanghai.

The last stop is People's Square, People's Square is a large public square adjacent to Nanjing Road in the Huangpu District of Shanghai, China. People's Square is the site of Shanghai's municipal government headquarter building, and is used as the standard reference point for measurement of distance in the Shanghai municipality.

After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel in Shanghai.
