We had an amazing time on this 10-day trip across China! Shanghai was a perfect start, with the vibrant city life and a relaxing Huangpu River cruise. Hangzhou’s West Lake was stunning, and the boat ride there felt like a dream. Suzhou’s traditional gardens and the charming Tongli Water Town were highlights, while the Lingshan Buddha in Wuxi was simply breathtaking. The whole itinerary was well-organized, and our guides were always professional and engaging. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

We had an unforgettable 10-day journey through Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, and Nanjing, and I can't say enough about how well this tour was organized. Shanghai was an exciting start, with the Yuyuan Garden offering a peaceful escape amidst the city’s hustle and bustle, and the Huangpu River cruise giving us an amazing view of the skyline. Shanghai Disneyland was a fantastic break from the cultural sightseeing, and our family had a blast there. Hangzhou’s West Lake boat cruise was another highlight—so picturesque and serene. The Lingyin Temple and tea village visits provided an enriching cultural experience.
In Suzhou, the Humble Administrator’s Garden was beautiful, and we loved wandering through the historic streets of Pingjiang Road. The Tongli Water Town was just magical—so peaceful and steeped in history. Wuxi’s Lingshan Buddha was awe-inspiring, and we were amazed at its size and beauty. In Nanjing, the Sun Yatsen Mausoleum offered a great chance to learn about China’s modern history. The whole trip was seamless, thanks to the amazing guides and the careful planning from Your Way Holiday. We felt taken care of from start to finish, and this tour truly made us fall in love with China!

As a mom traveling with a 6-year-old and 8-year-old, I need tours that are efficient and kid-friendly—this one nails both, thanks to Your Way Holiday’s smarts.
First, the logistics are flawless: high-speed train tickets pre-booked (we got window seats!), drivers waiting with stroller-friendly cars, hotels with soft beds and late breakfast (lifesaver for tired kids). Guides know how to keep little ones engaged: Beijing’s Andy turned the Forbidden City into a “dragon hunt” (they had to spot 5 dragon carvings), Luoyang’s Chen let them mimic kung fu moves with Shaolin monks, and Chengdu’s Mia got the kids a “panda keeper” sticker set that kept them occupied during the temple visit. Even the Terracotta Army—usually boring for kids—worked because Darcy brought a mini figurine for them to compare to the real warriors.
Second, the “kid-approved” extras: Andy found a hutong candy maker who let the kids pull taffy; Darcy got them sweet osmanthus cakes in Xi’an’s Muslim Street (no spicy stuff!); Mia took us to a Chengdu tea house with a face-changing performer who waved at the kids. Shanghai’s Autumn skipped the crowded Nanjing Road for a Tianzifang toy shop where they picked up wooden pandas. No meltdowns, no rushing, just happy kids and happy parents. Worth every penny.

Your Way Holiday’s 12-day tour is a masterclass in curated travel: no fluff, all highlights. Guides are experts without being pretentious—Beijing’s Andy decodes Forbidden City politics in 2 sentences, Xi’an’s Darcy cuts through Terracotta Army crowds with a group pass, Chengdu’s Mia times panda visits for maximum cub action. Logistics are seamless (high-speed trains > flights, always) and accommodations are central (Beijing’s hotel 5 mins from Tiananmen, Shanghai’s 10 mins from Bund). Standout moments: rickshaw hutong ride, Shaolin dusk chanting, Wenshu Temple tea ceremony. Only tiny flaw: Shanghai’s Nanjing Road is too crowded—but Autumn redirected us to a hidden bookstore nearby. Worth it for the guides alone.

This 12-day trip is my top 1 China tour—no cap! Your Way Holiday’s itinerary is pure vibe, and the guides are low-key travel gods. Beijing’s Andy didn’t make us march through Tiananmen like robots; he dragged us to a hidden jianbing stall nearby for breakfast (crispy, spicy, 10/10). Mutianyu Great Wall? He found a secret photo spot with zero crowds—my Instagram got so many likes. Luoyang’s Chen took us to Shaolin after the morning rush, so we watched monks practice kung fu up close (I even learned a basic punch!). Chengdu’s Mia timed the Panda Base perfectly—we saw cubs rolling around like fluffy clouds. Shanghai’s Autumn hooked us up with a Tianzifang café that serves matcha latte with osmanthus—game changer. No boring lectures, just good food, sick photos, and zero stress. Will scream about this tour to every friend!

This 14-day journey felt less like a tour and more like a curated exploration, balancing iconic sites with quiet, meaningful moments—all thanks to Your Way Holiday’s thoughtful planning and standout guides. Beijing’s Andy set the bar high: he navigated the Forbidden City’s crowds to show us a secluded courtyard where imperial children once played, and his tips for the Mutianyu Great Wall (go early, take the lesser-known path) meant we hiked with panoramic views and minimal crowds. Datong’s Mei turned Yungang Caves into a living history lesson, pointing out how a single Buddha statue’s robes shifted from Indian-style folds to Chinese silk as dynasties changed. The real surprise, though, was Pingyao: our driver took the scenic route, stopping at a village where elders were making traditional paper-cuts, and we got to try our hand at it—something no guidebook would have led us to.
The latter half of the trip only deepened the magic. Xi’an’s Darcy made the Terracotta Warriors feel personal, sharing stories of the archaeologists who uncovered the army, then treated us to street food in the Muslim Quarter (the spicy cumin lamb skewers are still my favorite). Luoyang’s Chen took us to Shaolin Temple just as monks finished morning practice, and we watched them meditate in the quiet courtyard—an intimate moment I’ll never forget. Shanghai’s Autumn capped it off with a twist: instead of the usual tourist spots, she led us to a rooftop café in the Old French Concession for sunset, then the Huangpu River Night Cruise to see the skyline light up. Bonnie checked in once mid-trip to ask if we wanted to adjust our Luoyang schedule, and her flexibility let us spend extra time at Longmen Grottoes—proving this tour prioritizes experience over rigid plans. It’s the little touches, the guides who care, and the seamless logistics that make this trip unforgettable.

As a traveler fascinated by religious history, this itinerary was a revelation, taking me far beyond Beijing’s imperial sites to the heart of China’s Buddhist legacy. Guide Leo in Beijing set the tone with insightful commentary on the Temple of Heaven’s spiritual symbolism, but the real magic began in Datong. Local guide Mei’s passion for Buddhist art shone at Yungang Caves—she walked us through the grottoes, explaining the evolution of Buddha statues from the Northern Wei Dynasty, pointing out details like the serene smiles and intricate robes that escaped casual observers. Xuankong Temple, clinging to a cliffside, felt otherworldly, and Mei’s stories of its construction (without modern tools!) added to the wonder. In Luoyang, guide Chen led us through White Horse Temple (China’s first Buddhist temple) and Shaolin Temple, where we watched monks practice martial arts—his explanations of how Buddhism blended with Chinese culture were eye-opening. The Longmen Grottoes, with their towering Buddha carvings, were the climax of this spiritual journey. Transfers between cities were smooth, and the itinerary balanced sacred sites with moments of relaxation (like the Huangpu River Night Cruise in Shanghai). Bonnie checked in midway to ensure we were comfortable, and her recommendation to extend our time at Yungang Caves made the experience even more immersive. This tour isn’t just for sightseers—it’s for curious travelers seeking to understand China’s spiritual soul.

Having traveled to many countries, I value smooth logistics and knowledgeable guides above all—and this tour delivered both in spades. From the moment I arrived in Beijing, every detail was taken care of: airport transfers were prompt, accommodations were comfortable and conveniently located, and train/flight tickets were handled seamlessly. Guide Andy in Beijing was patient and attentive, adjusting the pace to suit our group and ensuring we didn’t miss key spots in the Forbidden City. In Xi’an, Darcy went above and beyond—she noticed I was interested in photography and took us to hidden corners of the Terracotta Warriors Museum for the best shots, then arranged a private moment to watch the sunset over the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Chengdu’s Mia was incredibly helpful, providing tips on navigating the city and even assisting with last-minute souvenir shopping. Shanghai’s Autumn was a wealth of local knowledge, leading us to off-the-beaten-path cafes in the Old French Concession and explaining the city’s history with enthusiasm. What set this tour apart was the consistency of excellence—every guide was passionate, professional, and dedicated to making our experience unforgettable. For anyone looking to explore China without the hassle, this itinerary is perfection.

This tour was everything I hoped for and more. Beijing’s Mutianyu Great Wall hike (with Andy’s great photo tips) and Forbidden City tour set the tone for a journey filled with wonder. Xi’an’s Tang Dynasty Show and Dumpling Banquet were a delightful cultural treat, and Darcy’s local knowledge made the Muslim Quarter exploration unforgettable. Chengdu’s Dufu Thatched Cottage and Wuhou Shrine offered a peaceful escape, while the Panda Base was undoubtedly the highlight—Mia even helped us snap photos with the pandas! Shanghai’s mix of traditional gardens (Yuyuan) and modern landmarks (The Bund) was fascinating, with Autumn guiding us through the city’s rich history. The itinerary flowed perfectly, and every detail was taken care of. Highly recommend for a stress-free, immersive China experience!

I can’t say enough good things about this 9-day China tour organized by Your Way Holiday—it struck the perfect chord between immersive exploration and relaxed enjoyment, turning a trip to iconic cities into a truly meaningful experience. Starting in Beijing, guide Andy didn’t just lead us through the Forbidden City and Summer Palace; he turned each courtyard and pavilion into a storybook, sharing tales of imperial life that made the ancient architecture feel vivid and personal. The Mutianyu Great Wall excursion was a standout too—Andy avoided the crowded main sections, taking us to a quieter stretch where we could hike at our own pace, snap photos of the rolling mountain views, and even stop for a warm cup of jasmine tea at a local vendor he knew. The bullet train to Xi’an was seamless, with tickets and transfers all handled, and guide Darcy was waiting for us with a smile (and a bag of local candied hawthorns, a sweet welcome!). Her deep dive into the Terracotta Warriors Museum was nothing short of extraordinary—she pointed out details like the soldiers’ unique hairstyles and weaponry that we’d have missed on our own, and even arranged a private moment to stand close to the excavation pits when the crowds thinned. The Tang Dynasty Show that evening was a feast for the senses, with vibrant costumes and traditional music, and the dumpling banquet that followed introduced us to flavors we’d never tasted—Darcy walked us through each dumpling variety, explaining the cultural significance of fillings and folding styles. Exploring Xi’an’s Ancient City Wall at sunset was another highlight; Darcy rented bikes for us and mapped out a route that let us take in views of the city’s old and new districts, pausing at a tower to watch locals fly kites. The transfer to Shanghai was just as smooth, and guide Autumn’s energy matched the city’s buzz—she balanced visits to classic spots like Yuyuan Garden and the Bund with off-the-beaten-path gems, like a hidden lane in the Old French Concession lined with vintage bookstores and cozy cafes. The Huangpu River Night Cruise, with the skyline glowing around us, was a stunning end to the sightseeing, and even our final day—with a stop at the Oriental Pearl Tower and a stress-free transfer to the airport—felt polished. What really set this tour apart, though, was the care: Bonnie checked in midway to make sure we were comfortable, each guide remembered our preferences (Andy noted I loved photography and pointed out prime spots; Darcy accommodated my friend’s vegetarian diet), and every logistical detail was handled so we could just focus on enjoying the journey. It’s not just a tour—it’s a thoughtfully crafted introduction to China’s heart and soul, and I’d recommend Your Way Holiday to anyone in a heartbeat.
